MGH Postdoctoral Graduation Ceremony 2018
On Thursday June 21, Friends and family members flocked Khalidy Hall at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences to attend the graduation ceremony of a new batch of specialized physicians from Makassed General Hospital.
The ceremony was attended by Bahij Arbid representing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Ghassan Hasbani , Doctor Salah Zeineddine representing vice president of Medical Affairs and dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut (AUB) Dr. Mohamed Sayegh, Professor Najlaa Mashaal Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University, Professor Bernard Gerbaka representing the President of the Lebanese Order of Physicians Raymond Sayegh, and the President of the Syndicate of Private Hospitals Mr. Sleiman Haroun.
In his remarks, Makassed President Dr. Faisal Sinno highlighted MGH medical and educational role in meeting the community health needs.
Anas Mougharbel, Medical Director at MGH said “Makassed’s roots are implanted in the society, as the hospital continues to be one of the main pillars in medical education in Lebanon”.
The Medical certificates and awards were distributed to the graduating class of 2018, where Dr. Amin Abyad and Dr. Sara Daaboul received the first prize for the best Research award, and the second was granted to Dr. Mohammad Abbas. Dr. Farah Mansour received the Best Resident Award and Dr. Thaer Ankouni attained the late Ezzat Jaafar Award for Scientific Research.
The Makassed Hospital postdoctoral medical and fellowship training programs for physicians is provided in affiliation with the American University of Beirut (AUB) and Beirut Arab University (BAU), as well as Lille University in France.
